Termites, categorized under the order of Isoptera, are a group of eusocial insects that live in colonies which can number from several hundred to several million individuals. Termites normally fed on dead plant structure, or cellulose which can be found on the building material such as wood. A typical colony comprises of nymphs, workers, soldiers and several egg-laying queens. The whole colony will collapse once the queen is exterminated.
